ESG WEBINAR SERIES - PART III - IFRS SUSTAINABILITY DISCLOSURE STANDARDS (IFRS S1 & S2)
Date: 8th – 9th October 2025
Course Overview
Environmental, social and governance (ESG) refers to a set of environmental, social, and governance criteria used to evaluate a company’s sustainability practices and long-term value. ESG is often integrated into broader sustainability and risk management frameworks to guide strategy and decision-making. It helps businesses identify and manage risks and opportunities across areas such as climate impact, social responsibility, and corporate governance. By integrating ESG considerations into strategy and operations, organizations can improve long-term performance, build stakeholder trust, and enhance resilience.
In the final part of our ESG webinar series, we shall focus on the IFRS sustainability disclosure standards - IFRS S1: General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information & IFRS S2: Climate-related Disclosures, and explore the principles, requirements, and practical application of IFRS S1 & S2. A comprehensive understanding of this new global baseline for sustainability-related financial disclosures will help participants build the skills to implement robust, decision-useful reporting aligned to stakeholder and investor expectations.
Course Objectives
By the end of this webinar, the participant should be able to:
i. Interpret and apply the IFRS S1 & S2 standards in preparing sustainability disclosures.
ii. Align reporting practices with international expectations and regulatory developments.
iii. Evaluate how integrating IFRS S1 & S2 into organizational reporting can enhance transparency, accountability, and investor confidence.
