COURSE OVERVIEW
The aim of the Insurance and Reinsurance Claims Management course is to equip participants with the skills
required for prudent management of insurance and reinsurance claims. Further it is designed to provide trainees with knowledge of the roles of service providers in the claims process as well as articulating measures for reducing insurance-related fraud.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
By the end of this webinar, the participant should be able to:
• Describe the process of handling claims
• Discuss the application of claims aggregation in claims settlement
• Explain the measures for minimising claims costs and insurance related frauds
• Describe the process for handling claims for various reinsurance contracts
• Explain the application of recovery mechanisms for various types of contracts from reinsurers

TARGET AUDIENCE
This training is for claims managers and officers, reinsurance accountants, underwriters and risk surveyors working in (re)insurance companies and brokerage firms with a minimum 3-years practical experience in the claims, accounting, or underwriting departments.
LOGISTICS
Participants are required to have a high internet speed connection and a digital device – preferably a laptop or tablet. The webinar will be conducted via ZOOM and each participant will be required to download this application in advance before the webinar.
DELIVERY
There shall be a 90-minute presentation by the facilitators followed by a 30-minute Question & Answer session to address any questions, comments, or observations from participants.
