ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of agriculture insurance solutions aimed at enhancing resilience in the farming sector. Attendees will delve into key topics, including Aquaculture and Livestock Insurance, addressing sector-specific risks, and innovative models such as Parametric Insurance, Index-Based Crop Insurance, and Index-Based Livestock Insurance (IBLI), which offer faster, data-driven payouts based on pre-defined indices.
The sessions will also cover Multi-Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI) and Area Yield Index Insurance (AYII), highlighting their role in managing diverse agricultural risks. Additionally, attendees will explore bundled insurance products that combine coverage with inputs, credit, or advisory services, and examine effective distribution channels—both digital and traditional—that improve access, adoption, and impact across farming communities. The workshop will equip participants with practical knowledge to design, implement, or advocate for more resilient and inclusive agricultural insurance systems.
