COURSE OVERVIEW


Environmental, social and governance (ESG) refers to a set of environmental, social, and governance criteria used to evaluate a company’s sustainability practices and long-term value. ESG is often integrated into broader sustainability and risk management frameworks to guide strategy and decision-making and helps businesses identify and manage risks and opportunities across areas such as climate impact, social responsibility, and corporate governance.


The objective of this training is to empower professionals in the (re)insurance industry with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively embed (ESG) considerations into their core business activities. By moving from conceptual understanding to practical application, this session will delve into the core definitions of ESG, understand its significance, and discuss the risks and opportunities in ESG in the (re)insurance industry. This training will further provide a great opportunity to gain valuable insights and forge the path towards integrating ESG into (re)insurance business strategy.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This webinar is open to members of Kenya Women in Insurance (KWIIN). LOGISTICS The webinar is free of charge. Participants are required to have a good internet connection and a digital device - preferably a laptop or tablet. The webinar will be conducted via TEAMS and each participant will be required to install this application in advance before the webinar.

 DELIVERY


There shall be a 60-minute presentation by the facilitators followed by a 30-minute Question & Answer session to address any questions, comments, or observations from participants.
