COURSE OVERVIEW
Climate change has led to an increase in the frequency and severity of natural disasters such as droughts, floods,
hurricanes, and earthquakes. As climate impacts intensify, the need for effective risk management tools becomes urgent. This webinar series introduces the concept of climate risk insurance as a critical financial mechanism that supports individuals, businesses, and governments in building resilience against climate-related risks.
In this first part of the webinar series, participants will explore the principles, types, and mechanisms of climate insurance and gain insights into how it is applied across climate-sensitive sectors like agriculture, health, energy, and infrastructure. LOGISTICS
The webinar is free of charge. Participants are required to have a good internet connection and a digital device - preferably a laptop or tablet. The training will be conducted via the ZEP-RE Academy LMS. Participants will be required to create an account on the LMS to update their profile and gain access to the course.
DELIVERY
There shall be a 90-minute presentation by the facilitators followed by a 30-minute Question & Answer session to address any questions, comments, or observations from participants.
